Simblong supplies a wide-ranging portfolio of custom plastic injection molds, including single-shot tooling, two-shot molds, overmold tooling, insert molds and other custom mold solutions tailored for your project requirements. Simblong has the annual capacity to manufacture more than 500 custom plastic injection molds, including tooling for single-shot molding, two-shot molding, overmolding, insert molding and in-mold labeling (IML). Some molds are delivered directly to customers, most of others remain at Simblong for subsequent injection molding production, enabling tooling and part requirements to be coordinated within the same project.
For standard tooling, dimensional tolerances are generally controlled to 0.01–0.02 mm. For critical components in selected high-precision molds, tolerances as tight as 0.006 mm may be achieved, depending on mold structure, material, geometry and inspection requirements.
T0 lead time typically ranges from 25 to 45 days, subject to mold size, complexity and precision requirements. When early samples are needed to verify product structure, material performance or design feasibility—or to support an urgent project—prototype tooling or rapid tooling can be produced before the final production mold. Each project begins with a DFMA review to identify manufacturability risks and establish the appropriate tooling approach, acceptance criteria and project schedule.
